Caring for Your Jewelry
14k Gold-Filled Jewelry:
Something Golden uses high quality elastic to ensure durability, with 14k Gold-Filled beads that are waterproof. However, we advise against direct contact chemicals that are found in lotions, perfumes, cosmetics, and soaps. This can fade the gold finish more quickly.
To ensure this does not happen make sure to wipe your jewelry off with a soft cloth to remove any chemicals or excess water and be careful with what you are putting into contact with your jewelry.
Sterling Silver:
Something Golden uses Sterling Silver beads however, over exposure to water and harsh chemicals can make the silver darken overtime. You can use a soft cloth to clean your jewelry to ensure shine and to wipe off excess water or harsh chemicals to keep your Silver pieces looking new.
Pearls:
Something Golden uses synthetic and freshwater pearls. The freshwater pearls are durable in water. The rounded synthetic pearls need to avoid water so that they will keep their shine, and we recommend keeping these dry and clean.
